A man accused of crashing his truck into a Carrollwood home, injuring a woman and her dog and fleeing the scene, was found hiding underneath a home on Monday.
Robert Siders, 30, was found hiding underneath a home located on Four Oaks Road.
Seventy-one-year-old Sheila McCaffrey and her dog were pinned under Siders’ Chevy Silverado in the crash on Sunday.
It took rescue crews more than 30 minutes to free McCaffrey and her dog. She is currently in critical condition at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Her dog is doing well.
Her family declined our request for a comment.
Siders is charged with leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury, reckless driving with serious bodily injury and driving with license canceled, suspended or revoked.
