WILMINGTON, N.C. (WFLA) – FEMA rescue crews came to the aid of two dogs who needed help in Wilmington, North Carolina on Friday.
Video shows a FEMA crew passing the two large dogs to an Indiana Urban Search & Rescue crew on the ground.
The dogs appeared to be uninjured.
Dogs and cats have been carried out of the disaster area as FEMA crews look to save as many lives as they can.
The National Hurricane Center said in an update Florence has weakened to a Tropical Storm, but life-threatening storm surge is expected to continue through Friday night.
