TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Today turned out mild and lovely (especially compared to yesterday!) We topped out in the mid to upper 70s under partly cloudy skies. This evening will be mild with building clouds. Temperatures will be slow to cool, getting into the mid to upper 60s overnight.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy, starting in the cool mid to upper 60s and warming into the mild mid 70s. The rain chances are quite high, but the timing is late, with most of the rain moving into our area from the south after sunset. It should be mainly light to moderate rain with limited thunderstorms.

We wake up on Wednesday with a few leftover showers, mostly just very light rain. Temperatures will be in the mid 60s. The rain should fade by the late morning hours, leaving us mild and cloudy, warming into the mid to upper 70s.

Thanksgiving will be lovely. We wake up in the mid 60s and warm into the low 80s under partly cloudy skies. There is only a isolated (20%) chance for a shower.

We are watching the potential for a cold front on Friday, but the forecast models completely disagree on it’s intensity and how far south it ventures. The Euro shows a strong front that pushes through and cools us for the weekend. If this occurs, the rain chances will go up on Friday and the temperatures will come down for the weekend. Other forecast models do not show a strong front, keeping Friday drier and the weekend more mild. We will fine tune the forecast as we get a better idea of what we will see.
