Mild & cloudy tonight, waking up to showers and a cool down Wednesday

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Today we saw building clouds and warm temperatures. This evening will be mild and cloudy, with a slight breeze. Temperatures will cool down very slowly, into the low 70s under mostly cloudy skies.

We will wake up to 30% rain chances tomorrow morning as a cold front arrives. Most of the rain will be before noon, and cooler air filters in quickly behind the front.

As a result of the colder air moving in during the day on Wednesday, some areas, especially to the north of I-4, will experience their warmest temperatures of the day during the late morning and mid-day. As the colder air arrives behind the front, the temperatures drop instead of warm up during the afternoon hours.

Highs tomorrow will only be in the mid 70s, and we drop into the mid 50s tomorrow night. Keep the light jackets around for the end of the week.

Temperatures only climb into the upper 60s Thursday and Friday, and clouds linger around as well. Looks like we could have another front with some rain on Sunday.
