TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Today was toasty warm, topping out in the mid to upper 80s. Showers fired up east of us, but are drifting across our inland, southern counties as we head into the evening hours. Forecast models indicate the showers could reach our southern coastal counties between 6-9 p.m.
We will dry out after sunset, expect clearing skies by midnight. Temperatures will sink down into the low 70s by early Saturday.
Saturday we wake up in the mild low 70s, but warm up quickly into the low to mid 80s by the midday, and into the mid to upper 80s for an afternoon high. We have a 20% chance for shower, mainly during the afternoon into the early evening hours over our inland counties.
Sunday starts off in the mild low 70s with partly cloudy skies.
By the afternoon on Easter, temperatures will be in the mid-upper 80s with a 30% chance of showers developing. Make sure you have a way to dash inside if you’re hunting Easter eggs, just in case.
A cold front finally pushes through on Monday with a 40% rain chance. This front will only drop temperatures slightly, but it will help lower the humidity.
Behind the front, highs will be in the mid 80s, which is just a few degrees above average. No rain is expected Tuesday through Friday.
Expect lovely low humidity beginning on Tuesday, and the moisture levels begin to creep back up towards our more normal levels of humidity by the end of next week.
We’ll enjoy crisp, cool mornings for a few days, waking up in the 60s most days next week.
