TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Today was warm and dry, with less wind. This evening will once again turn lovely thanks to the unusually persistent low humidity. Temperatures turn comfortable this evening and eventually cool down to 70° overnight.
Tuesday starts out comfortable and warm up quickly under mostly sunny skies. Expect a light breeze out of the southwest in between 5-10 mph. The onshore direction of the breeze will keep coastal temperatures just a touch less hot than our inland counties. We will top out well into the low 90s during the afternoon.
The lower humidity sticks around through Wednesday, where we wake up in the low 70s and warm up into the low 90s under mostly sunny skies.
The high pressure that has held us in this arid and sunny weather pattern will begin to move eastward, establishing a southerly flow across our area. This wind direction brings us more humidity and moisture. We will notice the return of our more normal levels of humidity later this week into the holiday weekend.
With the sea breeze forming by the afternoons of the later days this week, a 10% chance for showers creeps into the forecast on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. A deeper plume of moisture moves over our state during the latter part of the weekend, increasing our much-needed chances for showers to 30% on Sunday and Monday.
