TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – We topped out at 70° today as the clouds leftover from the weekend finally broke up. The winds shifted this evening, which aided us in cooling down quickly into the 50s.

Tuesday is an Umbrella Alert Day for widespread, day-long showers moving through. We do not expect any severe weather, but we could see heavy downpours at times, and the duration of rain will be very inconvenient. We expect to accumulate around an inch of rain throughout the day, which is needed. Temperatures will be quite cool as a result of the rain, only getting into the upper 50s.

The showers family taper off early Wednesday morning. Expect partially clearing skies and temperature warming into the upper 60s.

It will be warmer for the rest of the week, the low 70s are back on Thursday. We even make it into the mid 70s by Saturday.

Super Bowl Sunday starts out in the low 60s and only makes it into the mid 60s as another cold front heads our way, bringing chances for showers as well.
