TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Today was hot and sticky with a few isolated showers that wandered onshore during the mid day and will fade out over our inland, southern counties after sunset. We are in for a very slow cool down, with temperatures meandering down to 80 degrees for an overnight low.
The westerly winds continue tomorrow, bringing a few isolated showers into our coastal counties during the morning to mid day. We will see scattered afternoon showers and storms over our inland counties that fade after sunset.
A weak front will push through our area overnight Friday night into Saturday morning, bringing us a line of showers early Saturday morning.
A Low pressure forming in the Atlantic will alter our westerly winds for the weekend- which is a good thing! The northeasterly winds on Saturday will push the red tide away from our shoreline a bit and may make conditions look a tad better.
The weekend will be hot, waking up in the upper 70s and warming up into the low 90s. Expect spotty to scattered afternoon showers each day.
