Cloudy, mild, and mostly dry night

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – A weak cold front made it to the Tampa Bay area today, but it only brought a 20% chance of a stray shower through the day as temperatures climbed into the upper 70s.

There will be a moderate breeze out of the northeast as the front hangs around. Later today, the front begins to push back to the north keeping a 20% rain chance in the forecast tomorrow.

A slightly stronger cold front arrives this weekend. It will enhance the rain chances, so expect scattered showers Saturday and Sunday, but it will not rain all day. The front still doesn’t bring any cooler air; highs stay near 80 degrees.

As that front fades away, we keep 30% rain chances for Monday and Tuesday afternoons with highs in the low 80s.

A stronger system looks to arrive in the middle of next week with a better chance of downpours.
