TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Today was cool and breezy, with sunny skies. Temperatures turn chilly quickly this evening, plunging down through the 60s and 50s, settling into the 40s overnight.

Overnight lows will be about 10 degrees below average tonight, and we’ll wake up to temperatures mainly in the 40s Thursday morning.

There’s a nice warm-up during the day tomorrow, and highs reach the mid-upper 60s. We even hit 70 on Friday.

As you’re making weekend plans, Saturday will be the better day to be outside. We’ll be mostly sunny with highs in the low 70s. It all goes downhill on Sunday with a 70% chance of showers and storms as an area of low pressure crosses the state.

A second low keeps showers in the forecast Monday and into early Tuesday. Behind these systems, it will be cooler again for the middle of next week.
