TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — After a chilly start on this Valentine’s Day we warmed up nicely. Abundant sunshine made for temps into the low 70s this afternoon with a light breeze. It stays dry this evening while temperatures cool off into the mid-60s.
It will not be as cold tonight with lows in the mid-50s. The warming trend continues through the end of the week with highs in the mid-70s both Thursday and Friday.
Changes arrive over the weekend. A good chance for showers and even a few rumbles of thunder are in the forecast Saturday and Sunday. It will be cool Saturday with highs in the low 70s but a chilly rain is expected Sunday with highs only in the low 60s.
It dries out early Monday morning and temperatures will be below average for the first half of next week.
