When you are diving into a pool from a 10-meter platform, the fear of belly flopping is always lingering.
With a full day off in Joao Pessoa this week, Team USA’s Steele Johnson, 20, and Jessica Parratto, 22, stared the belly-flopping fear right in the eye.
In a video posted to his YouTube account, Johnson documents the two youngsters testing out their belly-flopping skills.

Both Johnson and Parratto will compete in the 10m platform events — not the 3m springboard events.
Johnson will team up with David Boudia in the men’s synchronized 10m platform on Aug. 8, and he will compete in the individual 10m platform beginning on Aug. 19.
Both competitors are making their Olympic debut.
