Ryan Fitzpatrick will be the starting quarterback when the Buccaneers travel to take on the New York Giants.
Head coach Dirk Koetter made the announcement during a press conference on Monday.
Fitzpatrick threw for 406 yards and no touchdowns during the Bucs’ 16-3 loss against the Redskins at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday.
He threw two interceptions during the game.
“Well, unfortunately for me, I’ve been in this situation 13 straight years in terms of a team that isn’t quite playing up to their potential and having some struggles and the only way I know how to get out of it is to just keep coming to work every day being a professional,” Fitzpatrick said after the loss.
“Keep grinding, making sure you’re putting in the work on Monday-Tuesday with the film and Wednesday and Thursday and Friday with your guys on the field and that’s it.”
