TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – World Wrestling Entertainment’s WrestleMania 37 finished its second night on Sunday with another 25,000 plus fans in attendance amid stormy weather.

While many fans filed in to Raymond James Stadium with ponchos during a drizzle, there was no weather delay as there was during night one.

As with Roman Reigns retention of the WWE Universal Title, WWE WrestleMania comes to a close in Tampa. Reigns pinned BOTH opponents in Daniel Bryan and Edge – the man stacked on top of each other, to retain his title.

In the final match of WWE WrestleMania here in Tampa, champion Roman Reigns will defend his championship against two competitors in Daniel Bryan and Edge.

Newcomer Rhea Ripley from WWE’s developmental brand NXT was able to defeat the defending Raw Women’s Champion Asuka to capture championship gold at the “Grandest Stage of Them All.”

A total of 51,350 fans were in attendance over the two night event at Raymond James Stadium.

In the penultimate event of WrestleMania 37, the WWE Raw Women’s Championship will be defended by Asuka against former WWE NXT Superster Rhea Ripley.

Award-winning rapper Wale is performing ahead of Intercontinental Champion Big E’s entrance. The crowd in attendance loves it, as does the WWE Superstar himself. He’s set to compete in a “Nigerian Drum Match,” a stipulation which the company has yet to describe. This will be the first of its kind.

Though decked out in ring gear advertising Feeding Tampa Bay for his home city, WWE’s Big E couldn’t retain his Intercontinental title against Apollo Crews.

Crews is the new Intercontinental Champion. The drums at ringside were not utilized throughout the match.

WWE veteran Sheamus has once again recaptured the United States Championship, defeating former UFC star Matt Riddle for the belt. WWE commentary says Sheamus is a three-time United States Champion. There are three matches left on the 2021 WrestleMania card here in Tampa.

The show has moved on to the United States Championship bought between former WWE World Champion Sheamus and former UFC star Matt Riddle.

Next up on tonight’s card isn’t a title match, but does feature amateur boxer, social media influencer and YouTuber Logan Paul. Paul will be ringside as former friends Sami Zayne and Kevin Owens square off.

Logan Paul got into the ring to square off with Kevin Owens after the match and received a beat down for his troubles.

The WWE women’s tag team champions hold on to their titles as Natayla loses by submission to former UFC star Shayna Baszler. Baszler and her tag team partner Nia Jax walk out of WrestleMania as champions.

After a horror-themed opening event, WrestleMania continues with the women’s tag team titles being defended by Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax against the challenges, Tamina Snuka and Natayla.

With a distraction from fellow WWE Superstar Alexa Bliss, Randy Orton hits his finishing move on the spooky Bray Wyatt for the win, then quickly gets out of the ring. The lights then go out and Bliss and Wyatt are “transported” from the ring. The WWE fans in attendance are not happy.

The show has officially begun. Randy Orton will begin the show against mortal enemy Bray Wyatt in a spooky showdown.
