WATCH: Bob Dole stands to salute George H.W. Bush

Former U.S. Senator and Republican presidential candidate Bob Dole gave an emotional tribute to President George H.W. Bush on Tuesday.

When the 95-year-old former U.S. Army captain arrived at the Capitol Rotunda, he was helped up from his wheelchair so he could stand and salute President Bush’s casket.

Bush, the 41st President of the United States, died Friday night at the age of 94.

Dole told CNN on Saturday that his death marked the end of an era because Bush was the last World War II veteran president.
