MIAMI, Fla. (WFLA) – A tiger bit a zookeeper Tuesday during feeding time at Zoo Miami.
WTVJ reports that Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene.
Zoo officials said the zookeeper was feeding the tiger through the bars when the incident happened. That violates protocol, officials said.
The zookeeper lost the tip of her index finger, WTVJ reports.
The tiger did nothing wrong and will not be euthanized, officials said.
