TAMPA, FL (WFLA) – Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a wrong-way crash that happened just after 9 p.m. Wednesday on Memorial Highway, north of I-275 near Tampa International Airport.
FHP Public Information Officer Steve Gaskins reported that an elderly woman was driving a Toyota Corolla southbound in the northbound lanes on Memorial Hwy when she crashed into a Ford Explorer. There were four people in the SUV. All five people involved in the crash were transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital with minor injuries, according to Gaskins.
