PALM HARBOR, Fla. (WFLA) – Cheryl Albritton said “that’s it, I’m done” after having a baby. She put on 55 pounds, and after losing the first twenty, felt stuck.
That’s when she met XForce Body trainer Iliana Stoilova who explains the unique machines in her one-on-one Palm Harbor workout class use negative training to achieve positive results.
“The machine has a computer on it and every time you’re lowering the weight, it adds 40 percent more resistance on the way down,” says Stoilova.
The method is the result of fitness expert Dr. Ellington Darden’s research. Prospective clients learn all about it during an orientation.
Those who commit to the program sign up for six-week periods at a time in which the in-class commitment is just 30-minutes, twice a week. That works well for Albritton, a busy mom and business owner.
“I don’t know how people work out 3, 4, 5, 6 days a week. This is twice a week” says Albritton.
There is an out-of-class commitment required for the program to be successful. It includes daily 30-minute walks, following a provided meal plan which includes carbs, and a generous amount of sleep and water consumption.
XForce Body client Richard Venditti lost 24 pounds in ten weeks.
Vendetti explains, “It is a little bit about retraining your mind because I don’t think I’ve gotten 8 hours of sleep probably in 30 years.”
With one more look at her “before” picture, Albritton tells News Channel 8, “That’s it, I’m not going back!”
