For the first time, we are hearing from the woman who says she was sexually assaulted at an Atlanta nightclub last month.
Jasmine Eiland with her attorneys announced Tuesday that she is suing the Opera nightclub.
Eiland says she was celebrating her birthday on the night of Jan. 19 and was already streaming on Facebook live when she says she was attacked at the club.
The 30-year-old says she has come forward in the hopes that other sexual assault victims will do the same.
“I’m going to continue to fight. I’m a victim but I’m a survivor as well.” Jasmine Eiland said. In her lawsuit– Eiland and her lawyers say ‘Opera Atlanta’ was negligent when it failed to use enough security to monitor certain areas of its establishment.
34-year-old Dominique Williams turned himself in to police he has since been charged with aggravated sodomy.
