ST. PETERSBURG, FL (WFLA) — She filled up on Botox and then on dashed on the bill, police said. St. Petersburg detectives said it wasn’t the first time Nicole Brown, 31, stiffed doctors after cosmetic procedures.
A few pricks of it will have you looking like a million bucks, according to doctors. In exchange, Brown short-changed several doctors in St. Petersburg, according to detectives.
“She said, ‘I got to run to my car and get my credit card.’ We went on about our business, and 15, 20 minutes went by and we’re like, ‘She left,’” said Amaris Centofanti, an esthetician at Dr. William Adams’ office.
Brown received 37 units of Botox and Juvederm injections at that office two weeks ago – $870 worth. “We went outside to look for her; she wasn’t around. We immediately called law enforcement,” Centofanti said.
Hot on her trail, detectives learned Brown also stuck Dr. Lawrence Kass with her bill back in September. She paid a $900 tab with a worthless check.
Fortunately, police cuffed Brown Wednesday as she was about to strike again.
“She made another appointment yesterday at another local plastic surgeon’s office, a friend of ours. But she didn’t show up for the appointment, otherwise, she would have been arrested there,” Centofanti said.
Staff believe Brown’s quest for beauty was leading to a bigger problem. “She was not even a month out and she was trying to get more Botox and filler,” Centofanti said. “Obviously, we know that she has a problem. We hope that she gets the help that she needs now.”
Brown is charged with grand theft and obtaining property in return for a worthless check. Both are felony charges.
