DELTONA, Fla. (WESH) — A 22-year-old accidentally shot herself while trying to record a Snapchat video Sunday night, according to Volusia County deputies.
It happened at a home on Lake Baton Drive in Deltona.
Investigators said the woman told them she was holding a gun in the garage, trying to make videos with her cellphone, when she pulled the trigger and a bullet hit her right hand and shattered the phone.
The injury is fairly minor, authorities said, causing a laceration to the victim’s right thumb and index finger. She was treated at a hospital.
