Port Richey has been working on a break of a 10-inch water line. Because the water service was interrupted, all of East and West Brown Acres subdivision, as well as utilities north of Red Lobster will have a “precautionary boil water notice.”
Due to the loss of water pressure, when the service returns, we advise that all water used for drinking or cooking be boiled. A “rolling boil” of one minute is sufficient. Bottled water may be used as an alternative.
This “precautionary boil water notice” will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey indicates that the water is safe, at which time this notice will be rescinded. Generally, these notices remain in effect for three working days from the day of the water pressure loss.
