CUE, AUSTRALIA (WFLA) – A police department in an Australian town has a new special addition to the team, NBC reported this week.

That newest member is an orphaned kangaroo. His mother was hit and killed by a truck and now baby Cuejo, about 4 months old, lives at the police department in Cue. That’s about 385 miles north-east of Perth.

Constable Scott Mason takes care of the kangaroo, with the help of the local animal rescue. He introduced the kangaroo in a short video:

“Hello, I’m Constable Mason from Cue Police Station. I’d like to thank everyone for their ongoing support. We have decided on a name – this is little Cuejo. He’s 4 months old approximately. I’ve got some experience in animal husbandry. We have a very good support network through Cue Animal Rescue. So, ladies and gentlemen, that’s Cuejo.”TODAY’S TOP CLICKED STORIES:
