If you have ever been to a dog park, you know there are a few things that are not allowed—no food, unvaccinated dogs and definitely no alligators.
But those rules went out the window after Hurricane Florence rolled through a dog park in Conway, South Carolina.
Television station WMBF caught video of an 8-foot gator swimming at the park, which was under about 3 feet of water.
The gator was enclosed inside a locked fence until police were called to the scene to let it out.
Police said they’re hopeful the gator will head back toward a nearby river before the water completely drains.
