With two pillows in hand, Buddy the Elf hit the streets of Boston to spread some holiday cheer in the most bizarre and delightful way.
A video, posted Tuesday morning on social media shows the beloved holiday movie character running up to dozens of strangers and challenging them to a pillow fight.
The man under the conical hat is no “cotton-headed ninny-muggins,” or Will Ferrell for that matter. Instead, he’s 27-year-old Brendan Edwards, a firefighter and comedian who just wanted to spread some holiday cheer.
“We just wanted to spread holiday cheer, really. We wanted to brighten people’s day maybe,” Edwards told WBTS. “There was a police officer doing detail, and he asked me to take a picture.”
Edwards shared videos of the pillow fights online, which now have more than 100,00 views.
