Country music legend Willie Nelson debuted a new song over the weekend with a very clear political message.
On Saturday night, Nelson appeared at a rally in Austin, Texas with Democratic Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke.
Nelson took the stage during the rally, decked out in a “Beto for Senate 2018” shirt and hat, to perform his new song, “Vote ‘Em Out.”
In the chorus, Nelson tells voters, “If you don’t like who’s in there, vote them out.” He also sings, “we’ll sing and dance and shout” after they’re voted out.
O’Rourke is campaigning to unseat Republican US Senator Ted Cruz. Recent polls show a surprisingly close race between the two despite Texas being a conservative state.
