Victim of St. Pete homicide identified

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) – St. Petersburg detectives are investigating a homicide after a body was found in a car Sunday morning.

A call about a man slumped over a car came in at about 9:30 a.m. SPPD detectives responded to the scene in the 2500 block of 11th Avenue South.

They found an adult man dead in the car. Detectives identify the man as Sheridan Thompson, 40. He died of a gunshot wound.

Detectives continue to investigate.
