Here’s a county-by-county breakdown of how the weather is impacting the area-
Pasco County
An urban and small stream flood advisory is in effect for Pasco and West Central Florida until 10 a.m.. Areas with poor drainage will see minor flooding. As of 8 a.m, up to three inches of rain has fallen in Pasco County.
Pinellas County
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office has cancelled the Special Olympics Torch Run scheduled for Tuesday due to inclement weather.
Hillsborough County
Groundbreaking ceremony for Hillsborough County’s Public Safety Operations Complex scheduled for 2 p.m. has been cancelled due to potentially heavy rainfall. The ceremony will be rescheduled to another date. The complex will be constructed on 20 acres on Columbus Drive, between Falkenburg Road and U.S. Highway 301 in the Brandon area and will replace Hillsborough County’s Fire Rescue Headquarters and Emergency Operations Center on Hanna Avenue in Tampa.
Adventure Island water park closed on Tuesday because of the weather, according to the theme park’s Facebook page.
