SEFFNER, Fla. (WFLA) – A passenger in a pickup truck died Sunday night when he was thrown from the vehicle on Interstate 4.
Florida Highway Patrol said Steven Driggers, 34, died at the scene just before 8 p.m.
Troopers said the Ford F150 driver tried to change lanes east of Mango Road, when he noticed another vehicle. The driver over-corrected, lost control, rotated and overturned multiple times hitting a fence and light post at Gator Ford before stopping.
Neither the driver or the passenger were wearing their seat belts, Florida Highway Patrol said.
The westbound lanes were blocked on I-4 for several hours.
