A number of piglets were killed and several others were hurt after a tractor-trailer carrying 2,500 of them overturned on a highway in Ohio Wednesday, sending many of them running loose along the highway.
Authorities say the truck lost control as it went along the curve and flipped on its side.
The driver was not injured, but some of the piglets were hurt and others were killed, authorities said.
Traffic investigators have yet to determine the cause of the crash, but said speed may have been a factor and the driver will be cited.
The surviving pigs were taken to another truck and trasnported from the scene.
Further details were not immediately available.
