MEDINA COUNTY, Texas (WFLA/NBC) – A Texas woman decided to celebrate her divorce by blowing up her wedding dress.
The explosion was so loud, neighbors could hear it up to 15 miles away.
Kimberly Santleben-Stiteler said when the big orange explosion lit up her face Saturday night, she felt a wave of relief.
Kimberly’s divorce was finalized on Friday.
On Saturday, she held a divorce party.
Her dad and brother-in-law filled the dress with 20 pounds of the explosive tannerite.
They set it up 200 yards away on the family farm near San Antonio.
Kimberly hit the bullseye on her first shot.
She said seeing the dress in pieces was the closure she needed.
