A Tampa woman was taken to jail charged with DUI after she hit parked police vehicles late Saturday night, according to Tampa Police.
Nicole Marie Schnell, 32, was driving a 2012 Mustang going east on Kennedy Boulevard near Orleans Street. Two police vehicles were parked facing east on Kennedy as the officers were working on a possible DUI investigation. The cruisers had the strobe lights on.
According to TPD, Schnell didn’t see the cars. She struck one of the cruisers and smashed into the other on impact. Nobody was injured, the officers were not in the cars. They arrested Schnell on a charge of DUI with property damage.
She was taken to the Hillsborough County jail. She bonded out Sunday morning.
