Tampa Bay Lightning’s Brian Boyle has another reason to celebrate. Not only has his team made it to the Eastern Conference final, him and his wife are celebrating the birth of a new baby.
On Wednesday, Boyle tweeted a photo after the birth of the baby, saying “Our whole world begins and ends with you.”
According to the NHL, Boyle’s wife, Lauren, gave birth to a healthy 9 lb. 5 oz. boy, Declan Gabriel Boyle, on Tuesday.
Boyle, the Tampa Bay Lightning forward, did not practice on Thursday due to undisclosed injuries. Defenseman Matt Carle was also missing from practice.
The Lightning take on the New York Rangers for game four of the final Friday night at 8 p.m. at Amalie Arena in Tampa.
It’s not clear whether Boyle or Carle will be playing in the game. However, Boyle told the NHL on Wednesday that he’s feeling better and will be able to play.
The Lightning lead the series 2-1.
