TAMPA, FL (WFLA) – The Tampa Bay Lightning announced the 82-game regular season schedule for the upcoming season 2016-17 Tuesday.
The team will play each of the Atlantic division opponents four times, two at home and two on the road, except for the Boston Bruins and the Red Wings. The Bolts will face off with the Bruins three times away, twice home, and with the Red Wings three times home and twice on the road.
The rematches against the Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins will take place at the Amalie Arena Dec. 10 and Jan. 8 and March 3 at CONSOL Energy Center.
Tampa Bay will host the Washington Capitals, New Jersey Devils, Carolina Hurricanes and Columbus Blue Jacks twice, while visiting the Penguins, New York Rangers, New York Islanders and Philadelphia Flyers twice. The Bolts will play two games, one at home and one on the road, against each Western Conference team.
