TAMPA, Fl. (WFLA) – Officers with the Tampa Police Department are currently at a residence in the 200 block of Marham Ave. dealing with an armed man.
The department’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team responded to the scene just before 3 pm.
According to a Tampa Police Department spokesman police responded to the home to execute a domestic battery warrant. The unidentified male refused to come out and has made threats against law enforcement.
Several blocks located near the intersection of East Linebaugh Ave. and North Tampa St. have been shut down and authorities are asking folks to avoid the area until the situation is resolved.
