PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Deputies in Pasco County continue to search for a suspicious man driving in a minivan around a Pasco neighborhood.

Photos from a neighbor’s security camera taken Friday evening along Bartelt Road are grainy, blurry, and hard to make out. But some important details are apparent: it’s blue color, a missing front left hub cap and has damage to its front end.

Parents are on guard after someone driving the van stopped to ask a 15-year-old if she wanted a ride.

Well-known funeral home owner Thomas Dobies said incidents like this are bringing the area down. “Things have changed in this area in the last 25, 30 years, over what it used to be,” he said. “Still a nice community, but something like that shakes everybody up.”

There’s a sense of heightened awareness, as news of the van incident spreads. The man in the van is making it all the more important for parents to keep a watch on their kids.

The description of the driver isn’t very good. He’s 30 to 50 years old and he is bald. At this point, investigators don’t believe he’s committed a crime, but deputies want to talk to him.
