CLEARWATER BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) – Clearwater police need the public’s help identifying four female suspects who they said “helped themselves” to a package on the doorstep of former WWE star Hulk Hogan.
Police Spokesman Rob Shaw confirmed the home belongs to Hogan.
The suspects are seen in the video provided by police at the 1:20 mark. First, they’re seen cruising through the beach neighborhood. Cameras rolled as they pulled into Hogan’s driveway on Eldorado Avenue.
In the video, they quickly make their move, run up the steps and pick up the box. They’re briefly startled but far from done. They go back, rip the box open and take what’s inside, leaving the empty box behind
If you recognize the suspects, call the Clearwater Police Department at 727-562-4242 or use the TIP411 system by texting your tip and CWPD to 847411. Crime Stoppers of Pinellas County can also be contacted at 1-800-873-TIPS.
With so many porch pirate cases throughout the Tampa Bay area, residents are on alert. “We make sure we stay home during that delivery date,” Hogan’s neighbor Art Zell said.
“I think it’s the scum of the earth, myself. Yeah, come on, it’s Christmas. There gifts for people and you’re anti-Santa Claus,” he said. “Maybe they need to be scared out of their skin, wouldn’t be a bad thing.”
Clearwater police said there are ways to protect your deliveries during the holidays. “Make sure someone signs for your package. You can have it sent to your work if that’s OK with your work place. You can arrange for it to be picked up at FedEx, at UPS, at a Post Office,” Shaw said.
