ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) – Investigators are on scene of a fatal shooting in a parking lot of Martin Luther King Street South Monday evening.
St. Petersburg police said a 19-year-old man was killed in the shooting.
The shooting happening in the parking lot of the Rajax Meat Market.
The victim was identified as Emmanuel Sims. He died on scene.
Police said the victim was in the car with two other people when they made contact with a person Sims knew.
The person fired at the vehicle and wounded him.
The suspect, Chaz Bynum, 18, turned himself in to police Tuesday evening without incident.
The two other people in the car were not injured.
