SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) – The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash involving a stolen Cadillac that shutdown U.S. 41 in both directions Wednesday afternoon.
Around 3:00 p.m. Wednesday the Sarasota Police Department identified a silver Cadillac CTS matching the description of a stolen vehicle.
When officers attempted to make contact with the driver, the driver fled crashing into another vehicle.
Police say the driver of the stolen car was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Both drivers are expected to be okay.
The investigation is ongoing.
