Portions of Venice Myakka River Park are closed for safety due to flooding.
The park, located at 7501 E. Laurel Road is experiencing river flooding, according to Sarasota County Parks and Recreation.
The park is still open to the public at this time, but the back portion of the park is closed.
Barricades have been placed on the sidewalk.
The kayak launch is still open for use.
The county will monitor and assess flooding in the park daily.
