Police responded to reports of shots fired near the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota Thursday morning.
Police said several people reported hearing gunshots in the area of 25th Street and Central Ave, which is not on campus.
Investigators found shell casings in the woods near an empty parking lot.
Police said no injuries were reported and no victims were found.
