A shooting in Sarasota left one person with life-threatening injuries on Sunday, SNN reports.
The Sarasota Police Department responded to reports of shots fired near the intersection of North Lemon Ave. and 25th Street around 3:45 p.m.
Police later encountered a man suffering a gunshot wound. He was taken to Blake Memorial Hospital for treatment. His current condition was not disclosed.
Investigators suspect a passenger inside a blue vehicle fired the shots before fleeing the scene. A firearm was recovered from the scene.
A portion of North Lemon Ave. is closed as police continue to search for evidence.
