Venice police officers saved a man who was shocked while cutting tree branches in a yard on Tuesday morning.
Officers were dispatched to 730 Connemara Court for an unconscious man in the back yard who suffered an electric shock.
When Officer William Kuchar and Officer David Creasy arrived on scene, the 45-year-old victim as not breathing and did not have a pulse.
Officers administered an AED and then started chest compressions.
The victim began to breathe on his own and was taken to Venice Regional Bayfront Health by EMS.
Witnesses said the man was on a ladder trimming trench branches and accidentally touched a power line with his saw.
The incident is still under investigation.
