A crash involving several cars temporarily shut down part of I-75 in Sarasota County on Saturday.
Sarasota deputies say the crash happened just after 9:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-75 near Jacaranda Boulevard in Venice.
The sheriff’s office said the crash completely blocked the northbound lanes of I-75 for about three hours. The road has since been reopened.
Authorities have not said exactly how many cars were involved in the crash or released any information on injuries.
