Three whale sharks were spotted off Longboat Key this weekend.
Danny Burton was boating when the sharks came near his boat.
He quickly grabbed his camera and shot this video.
While whale sharks may not be spotted very often, they aren’t too uncommon for the Tampa Bay area.
Earlier in June, five of them were spotted about 40 miles off Anna Maria Island.
