Ronald “Ronnie” Felton

Ronald Felton was born in Sanford, Florida and had 14 siblings, including a twin brother named Reginald. Everyone who knew Ronald called him “Ronnie.”

Ronnie went to school in Hillsborough County and graduated from Jefferson High School.

He went on to work for Alfred Construction Company for 25 years.

Ronnie worked at the food pantry of New Season Apostolic Ministries Inc. His typical shifts were Tuesday and Friday starting at 3 a.m. In the fall of 2017, while the killings were happening, Ronnie began showing up even earlier because he wanted to be there to comfort the people who would start lining up at 1 a.m., waiting for the pantry to open its doors at 7:30.

Ronald “Ronnie” Felton was shot several times and killed around 4:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14.

Ronnie had ridden his bike to work at the pantry and gave everyone in line a hug that morning. Around 4:15 a.m., he walked across the street to call his twin Reginald and use the bathroom at a laundromat. A witness told police she saw him starting to walk back toward the church when he was shot.

Ronnie died at the age of 60 and was the final victim in the string of Seminole Heights serial killings.
