HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL (WFLA) – Harveer Randhawa figured her two 7Eleven stores in northwest Hillsborough County would be busy Saturday, but she never dreamed she would see the traffic she’s seeing due to the Powerball frenzy.

“I thought one store would feel the impact of this Westchase area and the other store might not be burdened by it, but I’ve been at both stores today and they’re equally insane,”  Randhawa said.  “Equally insane. “

Despite the steady afternoon rains, a steady stream of customers flooded the store at Countryway Boulevard and Linebaugh Avenue in Westchase.  Stanley Jacques is confident he has the winning numbers.

“These are the winning numbers right here. They told me.  So I told them I would be back for them in the am tomorrow morning,”  said Jacques, pointing at the cashiers.  “I’m going to hook everybody up. I gotta share it, I gotta share it. 900 is just too much. I gotta take care of families, you know charity, my family, maybe even yours.  I’ll come back for you too.  Everybody gets some of this. “

While most customers opted for quick picks, others chose their numbers, though the customers we caught up with didn’t really have a system.  Jack Maurer plans on doing a bit of praying.

“Quick picks, praying and just picking boxes,”  Said Maurer.  “That’s what it’s all about.”

Saturday’s drawing takes place at 10:59 p.m., and while it’s not likely the jackpot will roll over again, if it does $1.3 billion will be up for grabs on Wednesday.
