WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (WFLA) – A Missing Child Alert was canceled for a 6-year-old girl who went missing in Winter Haven in Polk County on Friday morning.
Nephtalie Joseph was dropped off at Garner Elementary School at the corner of Havendale Boulevard and 26th Street NW at about 7:50 a.m., which is adjacent to the gate entering the school. This is her usual drop-off location, police said.
However, she did not make it to school. She was located nearby at 11:10 a.m. at the Haitian Baptist Church on Avenue G NW.
“Thank you for getting the word out,” Winter Haven police said.
She was not harmed. The girl is with her family.
Police are at the school speaking with crossing guards.
