A serious crash caused major traffic delays in Lakeland Wednesday morning.
Polk deputies say an SUV and a car collided at Christina Boulevard West and South Florida Avenue around 8:30 a.m.
Two victims were taken from the scene by helicopter and two more were taken by ambulance. We do not yet know the extent of the injuries or the ages of those involved.
Traffic on South Florida Avenue was severely impacted following the crash. Deputies say the road has since been reopened. They are asking everyone to drive safe.
