LAKELAND, Fla. (WFLA) – Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the early morning hours on Tuesday at a north Lakeland Circle K store.

According to the sheriff’s office, around 4:13 a.m., a man and a woman entered the store on North Galloway Road. Both were armed with long guns.

The armed suspects directed the two store clerks behind the counter and demanded money from the cash registers.

The woman also filled a bag with random items from the store.

The suspects fled the scene at 4:17 a.m.

Both suspects had their faces covered and they were wearing gloves and all black clothing.

The woman had her head and face covered with a pink scarf. She was wearing red sneakers.

The sheriff’s office said both suspects are believed to be in their early 20s.

The clerks were not injured.
